About

About Me

Amaury Brisou – Backend engineer, system architect, and entrepreneur with 15 years of experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable software systems. I specialize in backend development with Go, infrastructure automation, and protocol-level engineering with a strong focus on DevSecOps and pragmatic delivery.

I collaborate with tech and product teams to build robust architectures that are observable, testable, and built to last. I’m passionate about backend clarity, system security, and performance — and I care as much about human communication as I do about technical precision.

What I Do

  • Backend design and development with Go, PostgreSQL, and REST/gRPC APIs
  • Architecture audits and DevSecOps integration
  • Infrastructure as code (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Protocol reverse engineering, DPI, and low-level systems analysis
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger
  • Team mentoring, performance audits, and code reviews

I don’t take on frontend projects — I stay focused on backend systems and infrastructure where I can deliver long-term value and architectural resilience.

Outside of work, I’ve been playing the trumpet for over 30 years — in jam sessions, small ensembles, and big bands. I also practice surfing and draw a lot of inspiration from the flow and improvisation of smooth jazz.

Technology Stack

  • Languages: Go, C, ASM, Python, PHP
  • Databases: PostgreSQL (with PgTAP), MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, InfluxDB
  • Messaging: RabbitMQ, Redpanda, NATS
  • Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, Nginx, Docker, Kubernetes, docker-compose
  • CI/CD & Orchestration: GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, Alloy, OpenTelemetry
  • Frontend (limited): React, Vue.js

  • Simplonomie – open-source tools for ecological organizations
  • Fonorama – real-time environmental noise mapping using ESP32, Go, and audio classification models
  • Nesovic.dev Aleksandar Nesovic blog

I’m also preparing for the PNPT certification (Practical Network Penetration Tester) to deepen my expertise in both offensive and defensive security domains.
